ARToberfest 2006

The planned month-long celebration of the arts that will last through four consecutive weekends in October already has received enthusiastic endorsement from the City of Trinidad and various participants. The goals are to promote fall tourism, increase public art awareness and participation, while boosting economic development for Trinidad in the fourth quarter. The intention of Trinidad Area Arts Council is to build on last years event and sponsor an on going annual event.

TAAC believes that this kind of community event will bring people from all over the region to experience our unique arts community and its various cultural flavors. The distinctive nature of a month long celebration of the arts and utilization of multiple community organizations and locations extends the tourism season into the autumn.
